would receive a 昀椀xed 1.5% annual adjustment. This proposal represents a meaningful step toward
strengthening retirement security
for law enforcement o昀케cers and
other Risk Class members who
have dedicated their careers to
public safety.
WEEK 6: FROM THE
SENATE FLOOR
Friday morning, the PBA team
was present in the Senate gallery
as both the Senate budget and
SB 7028 unanimously passed.
The Senate’s proposed budget
includes pay increases that will
have a positive impact on our
members, demonstrating continued recognition of their critical
role in protecting Florida’s communities.
Now that the Senate has passed
its version of the budget, the
House will take up its proposal as
well. From there, the two chambers will work together to reach a
balanced budget before sending
it to the Governor for approval. We
will stay engaged throughout that
process and continue 昀椀ghting for
the best possible outcome for our
members.
