WEEK 1:
THE PBA BBQ
The Florida PBA kicked off the 2026
Legislative Session with its most
successful Pre-Session BBQ to date, held
on Monday, January 12. It continues to be
a signature event that brings law
enforcement professionals and state
leaders together ahead of the session,
setting the tone for the weeks to come.
Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins and
Attorney General James Uthmeier both
attended, taking time to speak directly
with officers, PBA leadership, and
community members. Their presence sent
a clear message of support for law
enforcement and reinforced the
importance of maintaining open lines of
communication between those who serve
on the front lines and those making
decisions in Tallahassee.
