"As the 2026 legislative session gets underway, the Florida PBA is standing by its
promise to be present and engaged every day at the Capitol, fighting for the men and
women who bravely wear the badge. As Florida’s voice of law enforcement, we are
actively tracking legislation, pushing for policies that protect officer safety,
compensation, and due process, and standing firm against proposals that would
make this job more dangerous or take away hard-earned protections.
I’m proud of the work we are doing and of the strong, respected voice the Florida PBA
brings to Tallahassee on behalf of our members. This weekly report will keep you
informed about what’s happening and what it means for you and your family as the
session moves forward.
Law enforcement officers deserve to be backed, protected, and heard, and we are
showing up and doing that work every single day of the 2026 legislative session."
